Sullivan County Health Council
With support from the City of Kingsport and the City of Bristol, the Sullivan County Mayor and Sullivan County Commission are proud to announce the establishment of the Sullivan County Health Council—the driving force in creating a healthier Sullivan County.
Why a Health Council for Sullivan County?
The Sullivan County Health Council will work on health-related issues in a coordinated, community-driven approach. This is essential to tackle the unique health challenges faced by our residents.
By bringing together healthcare providers, community leaders, businesses, educators, and citizens, the Council aims to create a united front in enhancing the overall health and wellness of Sullivan County.
- Assessing the health needs of Sullivan County.
- Develop plans to address those needs.
- Assist in coordination of health-related projects/initiatives in Sullivan County.
- Advocate for policies and programs that promote health.
- Help promote good health practice as leaders in our community.
- Seek funds to support Health council projects and initiatives.
- Support efforts for health improvement outreach through various media platforms.
- Review population health data for Sullivan County.
