The Sullivan County Regional Health Department prepares for public health emergencies that may affect our community.
The Public Health Emergency Preparedness Department uses an all-hazards approach for emergency planning, focusing on situations that specifically affect the health of the public including pandemic flu, vector-borne diseases, bioterrorism events, and other disease outbreaks.
The department works closely with healthcare agencies in the region through the Northeast Tennessee Healthcare Preparedness Coalition. This group focuses on preparing the healthcare community for response to disasters.
